Coil Upenders

CDW - Series

Rotatable Coil Upender, CDW-Series, with 7,5 tons loading capacity. The CDW only needs to be loaded from one side. Second access area is not necessary. After loading a coil from a pallet in horizontal position by fork-lift, the CDW turns around by 180° and simultaneously tilts the coil 90°. After that, it can be taken off the nest in vertical position by a crane. The pallet rests on a special height-adjustable receiver block and can be taken off from there.
Operating in reverse direction, the pallet can be placed on the receiving block, electrically adjusted in height, and finally a coil can be placed in the nest in front of the height-adjustable receiving block via a crane. After being rotated 180° with simultaneous tilting 90°, the horizontally positioned coil can be taken off from the pallet by a fork-lift. The access to the CDW is secured by a light curtain and a safety block keeps the fork-lift from damaging the machine.
